(01) — Who we are
About
“Fit-out is not about making a surface look good.
It is the last thirty millimetres of
architectural logic — held.”
MR Sun Interiors was founded in 2009 as a specialist contractor for commercial and residential interior fit-out and external cladding. We work for design practices and head contractors alike — which means we can read the intent on the drawing, and turn it into a detail that can actually be built and signed off.
Our team combines facade engineers, site supervisors and documentation designers. Across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane we have delivered more than 420 projects: full-floor office fit-outs, acoustic ceilings for education, accessible detailing for aged care, and fire compartments for government buildings.
We believe durability is a design language. Material selection, joint width, stud spacing — the decisions that never appear in a render are the ones that decide whether a building still holds up ten years later.
Selected Work
Every project arrives with its own constraints — the existing structure, fire regulations, the tenant’s programme. Here is a selection of what we have delivered recently.
Capabilities
Six core trades, from interior partitions to the building envelope. Each has its own dedicated crew and its own quality control process.
Light gauge steel stud partitions, acoustic ceilings and fire compartments. Acoustic performance and service access resolved together, detailed to NCC and AS standards.
Single, double and slimline aluminium systems. Maximum daylight and visual transparency, with acoustic and fire ratings that meet the brief.
Design coordination, fabrication and installation of unitised and stick-built curtain wall. Watertightness, wind load and thermal performance tested item by item.
Weather resistant, non-combustible, maintenance free. Raw, woodgrain and painted finishes for public buildings that need a durable skin.
ACP, zinc and stainless steel cladding. An industrial-grade envelope with details held to the millimetre.
From the shopfront to a complete office floor. Mechanical, fire, data and finishes coordinated, with one party accountable end to end.
Our measure of quality is simple: three years on, the owner is not calling us back about a single joint.

How We Work
From the first phone call to the end of the warranty period, every stage has a defined deliverable and a named person. No black box.
Measure the existing structure, reconcile it against the drawings, confirm service set-outs and fire requirements, and issue a buildable documentation set.
Schedule of materials, method statements, itemised rates. Nothing is hidden in the price, and nothing is bid low to be recovered later.
A dedicated supervisor on site; every stage is inspected and photographed on completion. Weekly reports go to the owner and the designer.
Close-out documentation, maintenance manual and a ten-year warranty. Response time inside the warranty period is under 48 hours.
FAQ

Contact usInterior fit-out and external cladding: partition and ceiling systems, aluminium-framed glazing, facade curtain wall, fibre cement and metal cladding, plus shopfronts and full-floor office fit-outs. Both refurbishment and new build.
Based in Sydney and covering all of New South Wales, with resident crews in Melbourne and Brisbane. Sectors include residential, multi-unit development, education, aged care, commercial office, government, retail and industrial.
A single-floor office fit-out typically runs 6–10 weeks; full-floor or multi-level projects 3–5 months; facade works are priced and programmed by floor and area. After the survey you get a programme with key milestones, not a vague estimate.
Yes — that is half of what we do. We coordinate documentation, submit material samples and draw the junction details. Where design intent conflicts with the code we will propose an alternative, rather than discovering it is unbuildable on site.
Labour, materials, delivery, site management, waste removal, safety and QC documentation. Exclusions — mechanical, fire and similar specialist packages — are listed explicitly so the boundary is clear before work starts.
Ten-year structural warranty on interior works; finishes and hardware are covered to manufacturer standards. Warranty response is within 48 hours, and the same day for significant water ingress or safety issues.
